We were awaken by the golf course maintenance crew around 7 in the morning and went to breakfast at Dotties in Grand Rapids and then played disc and swam in the Mississippi at Riverside Park. We got back on 2 and rode all day. As we approached 2 Goody and Pete went ahead to find a bike store while Aidan, Pete and I stopped for a drink and took our own way. The descent into the town of Duluth featured incredibly steep and the worst maintained roads any of us had seen. We discovered we would have to return to the bike store the next morning, bought some food at the grocery and stayed in a motel in town and watched horrible television before passing out.
