We rode into a 15mph headwind with road construction to Devils Lake. On the way Pete rode through some wet cement bent his fork and down tube and got cement on his bike. We hightailed it through the road construction scene and found a house with a hose and a gracious owner who allowed Pete to clean the cement before it dried. In Devils Lake with ate at the Pizza Ranch, an all you can eat pizza buffet. We did our best to out eat the baseball team. We found a local swimming pool at Ruger Park and threw the disc near the pavilion. We took a backroad instead of 2 for a while and it was chill. We then got back on Rt 2 and rode in a stiff headwind. We stopped at a convenience store where Goody and Will decided to experiment with some high powered energy drinks. When we got back on the road Goody Will and Pete charged ahead at 18mph+ into strong winds while Aidan and I chilled behind. We found them later down the road where a friendly traveler let us know about a good camping spot with a water access. We found the spot and enjoyed cooling off in the water. After swimming Goody and I went for a run in our birthday suits until we spotted a oncoming car. We sprinted back down into the water to cover ourselves where we discovered that the vehicle was driven by the same man who had told us about the campsite. He had come to see how we were doing and let us know the great things to to in Duluth. We rested knowing well that tomorrow we would leave North Dakota.
