6/28 Interpersonal Communications

We slept in late after our late adventure the night before and ate at a cafe in town.  We talked with some other patrons including a man on a fishing trip.  He told us a story about how he and his brother had been fined big for going out of bounds in Glacier.  It confirmed our earlier decision.  We learned that Williston is a booming center of industry thanks to oil fraking!  We enjoyed our meal and made our way east on 1804, agreeing the Williston was a strange and spaint place.  It was a beautiful day with rolling hills but the ride was made stressful thanks to the narrow shoulder and parade of Halliburton Trucks using the road. We stopped for a swim and some laundry at White Tail Bay, on Lake Sakakawea (a reservoir) continued east of 1804 until taking country road 21 north to connect back to Rt 2, where we found a nice headwind.  I was feeling very tired and cranky on this day and Goody and I got in an emotional argument.  We stopped on the side of the road as I let my emotions flow.  The outburst was a needed action to resolve a mental block I had been having and it cleared up a lot of tension in my mind.  We all felt a little closer and rode into Stanley where we got into an ice cream shop just as it closed.  We found our way to the town park and set up camp in the pavilion.

After we got out of Williston the 1804 chilled out a bit and we had a great ride and could see Lake Sakakawea
